Our vessel is faster, more stable, more
fuel efficient, lighter weight, smoother riding, and substantially more
maneuverable than traditional “V” bottom RIBs. Our patented “VBHT”
(Variable Ballast Hull Technology) provides for stability at all speeds. Deck space is maximized. Responder Boats have about 30% more deck
space than other 5-meter competitors. At rest our boat is lower in the water
(lower freeboard) than the competition, and at speed our vessel rides higher
and runs faster and drier. Our boat planes much quicker and at a lower
engine RPM, making it much more efficient through all speeds. Our fuel-efficient
hull technology and modern construction processes allow us to utilize
smaller power plants while still achieving or exceeding the speed of
competitive crafts.
Comparative Example: A competitor’s 5-meter “V” bottom RIB equipped with an Evinrude 90 HP E-TEC outboard was
tested and attained a top speed of 34 MPH in flat-water speed runs. Our
standard model 5-meter “Responder 1" RIB equipped with the same power
will attain speeds in excess of 45 MPH. The contrast is even more extreme in
rough water situations.
Our new patented technology provides for a very safe, stable vessel at all times. Ride is softer and smoother in all sea states. Performance is maximized due to a very efficient hull design, reducing hydrodynamic drag. Less drag translates into greater speeds and/or lower power requirements, thereby resulting in improved efficiency and economy of operation. Freeboard varies as speed increases – low freeboard at rest and higher freeboard at speed, thereby contributing to a drier, smoother, and softer ride. Handling is much improved, responsive, and predictable. The constantly adjusting water-ballast system maintains the vessel in “trim” as sea conditions and speed changes. A wider beam provides about 30% more usable on-deck space. The ultra-wide deck allows for multiple configurations. Placement of the control console can accommodate users' needs while having minimal negative effect on vessel performance. Modular removable/replaceable catamaran hulls allow for serviceability and commercial-use reliability.
